Prime Video May 2026: New Shows, Returning Favorites, and Off Campus’ Breakout Debut

Off Campus quickly became one of Prime Video’s standout hits of the month, pulling in strong viewership and high audience ratings. The series follows two Briar University students whose lives collide in an unexpected way. Hannah Wells is a focused music major who avoids the school’s hockey culture entirely. Garrett Graham is the hockey team’s star center, known for his confidence and reputation. They enter into a simple agreement to help each other with separate problems, but the arrangement gradually develops into something deeper.

The show is adapted from The Deal, the first novel in Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off-Campus series, which already has a large built-in fanbase. That existing popularity helped drive the show’s early success and contributed to its strong reception.

Spider-Noir was the biggest Prime Video launch of the month. Nicolas Cage stars as Ben Reilly, a worn-down private investigator in 1930s New York who walked away from life as a masked superhero after a personal tragedy. When crime tightens its grip on the city, he gets pulled back in. All eight episodes dropped at once on May 27, and critics responded strongly, with the show landing at 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. The series is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, and it comes with a distinctive gimmick: viewers can watch in either full color or classic black and white.

The Grand-ish Tour brought Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May back together for three special episodes. The framing placed the trio in a care home, looking back over moments from their years of motoring shows. Their recollections ranged across locations from California to Mongolia to Italy, though the running conceit was that the memories had started to fade. The clips leaned toward the misadventures: mud, water, and a couple of genuine injuries along the way. It played as a short retrospective rather than a full season.

The Old Stories: Moses reached back to events that shaped Israel generations before David became king. The first season worked through that history, drawing a line between the shepherd’s present and the people who came before him.

Citadel returned for a second season, continuing the story of a spy agency brought down years earlier by the rival outfit Manticore. The collapse left agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh without their memories and barely alive. Their former colleague Bernard Orlick pulled Mason back in to stop Manticore from reshaping the global order on its own terms. Season 2 carried that fight forward, mixing espionage and action across its run. The episodes followed the agents as they pieced together what had been taken from them.

Good Omens came back for a third season, which closed out the series. The story centered on Aziraphale, a particular sort of angel, and Crowley, a demon who had grown fond of life on Earth. Both had spent a very long time among humans, and both had reasons to keep the world running rather than let the larger plans of Heaven and Hell play out. This final run followed where their long partnership ended up. Comedy and fantasy carried the episodes, as they had from the start.

The Dutch reality series drops twelve urban influencers into farm life in the countryside, well away from the comforts they are used to. The season carried on through the month with new installments.

American Gladiators kept airing through May in its first season. The competition pits everyday contenders against a roster of sixteen Gladiators across a set of physical events. Some are long-running staples of the format, including Joust, Powerball, Hang Tough, and The Wall, alongside newer additions like The Ring and Collision. A man and a woman come out on top by the end, each taking $100,000 and the champion title. New episodes ran across the month.
