Invincible 1. Invincible Prime Video · Animation, Action · Season 4 IMDb Watch on Prime Video

The adult-animated superhero series became Prime Video’s number-one show worldwide when its fourth season arrived in March, the platform’s biggest returning animation run yet. Mark Grayson is the teenage son of the most powerful superhero on the planet, slowly learning that the family legacy is far darker than it looked. Season 4 picks up after a global catastrophe, with a guilt-ridden Mark facing a powerful new threat while the people around him pay the cost. It is fast, brutal, and far heavier emotionally than the genre usually allows. Based on the Image Comics series by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker.

The Boys 2. The Boys Prime Video · Action, Fantasy · Final season IMDb Watch on Prime Video

The superhero satire returned for its fifth and final season, closing out the long war between Butcher’s crew of vigilantes and the corporate empire that manufactures and markets its superheroes. The premise has always cut the same way: the most powerful “heroes” are the worst people, and the company behind them treats heroism as a product line. The final run drove the standoff between Homelander and the Boys to its breaking point, with the body count and the satire both turned up. Based on the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which is harsher and stranger than the show and goes places it never could.

A deeply personal tragedy forces him to confront the life he tried to leave behind and pick the mantle back up. The series trades the bright, modern superhero look for black-and-white noir and the rhythms of a period detective story, leaning on mood and menace over spectacle. Based on Marvel’s Spider-Man Noir comics.

Season 4 arrived in June and went straight onto the global top-10 charts, picking up a year after the Chroma Conclave with the group scattered and a long-slumbering evil starting to wake.
