Top Picks of the Week
1. Widow’s Bay
Apple TV+ · Wed, Apr 29 · Streaming · Series Premiere · Comedy
A small island off the New England coast has a reputation: people disappear, strange things happen, and the locals have long since accepted that something is off. The town’s mayor hasn’t. Widow’s Bay is a half-hour comedy built around that tension, between a community that takes its curse completely seriously and one official who refuses to entertain the idea. The premiere episode drops all at once on Wednesday and runs about 41 minutes. The series comes in at roughly 38 minutes per episode on average, so it’s a quick watch. As of launch, the show is confirmed running with no end date set.

2. Man on Fire
Netflix · Thu, Apr 30 · Streaming · Series Premiere · Drama
John Creasy is a Special Forces veteran dealing with PTSD when an old contact pulls him back in, this time to look into a terrorist operation in Brazil. The series is set largely on the streets of Rio de Janeiro and follows Creasy as he becomes entangled in protecting a teenage girl while being hunted himself. The first episode runs about 49 minutes. Netflix has not yet confirmed a second season. Based on the 1980 novel by A.J. Quinnell, the story has been adapted before in film, but this marks its first run as a series.

3. Biography: WWE Legends
A&E · Sun, Apr 26 · 8:00 PM ET · Season 5 Premiere · Sports
The long-running A&E documentary series returns for a fifth season with a two-part opener focused on the Von Erich family. Part one covers the rise of brothers Kevin, David, and Kerry under their father Fritz, who built the family into a dominant force in professional wrestling during the 1980s. The season follows the same format as previous years: two-hour documentary episodes airing Sunday nights, with A&E and WWE Studios collaborating on the production. The archive footage access is central to the series. Eight original documentaries are planned for this ten-week block.
