This week brings 14 premieres between June 14 and 20, 2026. The scripted side is where most of the new material is: Apple TV’s mystery Sugar returns for a second season, Netflix adapts a Harlan Coben novel in I Will Find You, and Hulu launches the Hong Kong thriller The Season. Around them sit a stack of returning unscripted and animated seasons, from Alone’s first World Championship to a new run of My Adventures with Superman. It is a quieter week overall, easy to scan in a minute.

Top Picks of the Week
Sugar
IMDb
Watch on Prime Video
John Sugar is an American private investigator, and the first season followed his search for Olivia Siegel, the missing granddaughter of a legendary Hollywood producer named Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar worked the case, he turned up Siegel family secrets, some of them recent and some long buried. This second season is the show’s first new run since it debuted in 2024. The series keeps a tight, observational style built around a single investigator and the wealthy family at the center of the mystery.
Harlan Coben's I Will Find You
IMDb
A father is serving a life sentence for the murder of his own young son, a crime he maintains he did not commit. Years into his time inside, he receives something that upends the case: evidence suggesting the boy may still be alive. Convinced the official story is wrong, he breaks out of prison to chase the truth himself. The series is adapted from a Harlan Coben novel, and the premiere lays out the wrongful-conviction setup and the escape that drives the rest of the story.

The Season
IMDb
The Season is a six-episode thriller set among Hong Kong’s wealthy boating circles. It centers on Cola, an outsider who works her way into the orbit of the Hexts, one of the city’s powerful old-money families. A summer that starts out glamorous curdles into something darker as betrayals surface, rivalries sharpen, and several of the people involved turn out to be running their own agendas. Revenge and shifting alliances drive the season, with Cola caught in the middle of a closed, moneyed world she does not fully understand.
Grantchester
IMDb
Grantchester is a crime drama set in 1950s Cambridgeshire, adapted from James Runcie’s Grantchester Mysteries novels and built around a partnership between a local clergyman and Detective Inspector Geordie Keating, who work cases together by pairing police method with a gentler read on people. The eleventh season opens with a drive-in fundraiser that turns into a murder case after its sponsor, Bert Mills, is killed and several people confess to it. Alongside the investigation, the clergyman Alphy confronts difficult truths about his mother and his faith, Geordie grows wearier of the job, and others in the regular cast work through questions of their own. It is one of the longer-running British crime dramas still in production, now in its eleventh year.
The books: The series begins with Sidney Chambers and the Shadow of Death (Book 1) — get the audiobook free with an Audible trial or read it on Kindle. See more TV shows based on books.
Alone
IMDb
Alone drops ten survivalists into the wilderness by themselves, with no crew and no contact, and films the whole thing through gear they carry on their own. Whoever holds out the longest takes home $500,000, and the test is as much mental as physical. The thirteenth season changes the format with the show’s first World Championship, gathering ten competitors from different countries and dropping them into the Arctic Circle. The premiere runs long, closer to a feature than a standard episode, as it sets up the new international field and the conditions they are up against.
My Adventures with Superman
IMDb
This animated series follows Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen as young adults sorting out their lives and their jobs as reporters at the Daily Planet, with Clark growing into the role of Superman. The third season opens with an episode called Into the New World. In it, Lois and her father manage to wreck Halloween, Kara takes an interest in Jimmy, and Superman picks up a new friend before the group lands in a strange adventure. The show has kept a light, character-driven tone across its run, with as much attention on the friendships as on the superheroics.
