A band of hard-drinking, hard-fighting misfits keep stumbling into the job of saving the realm of Exandria. This adult animated fantasy reaches “The Poisoned Ear,” a quieter and heavier chapter: something has gone badly wrong, the group is shaken, and the usual jokes give way to grief. Built out of a long-running tabletop campaign, it mixes real stakes with a loose comic streak, and the fourth season is deep enough now that an episode like this one lands hard.

Adapted from Carley Fortune’s novel, this is a nostalgic story about first love and the choices that mark people for good. “Every Summer After” opens with the death of a beloved mother figure, Sue Florek, which pulls Percy Fraser back to Barry’s Bay, the lakeside town she fled a decade earlier, and back toward Sam, the great love she left behind. It’s glossy, soapy, and squarely a forbidden-romance story, and it landed on Prime Video in the last few weeks.

A comedy game show built entirely on the classic hypothetical: two teams of British digital personalities take on real-life challenges based on would-you-rather questions, where the answers decide everything from what they eat to who goes home.
